Hub Guidelines & Community Rules 1. Purpose of the Hub CIL Business Connect is a professional business community created to encourage learning, networking, collaboration, entrepreneurship, and access to business opportunities. Members are encouraged to share knowledge, ask meaningful questions, build relationships, and contribute positively to the growth of other members. 2. Respect Everyone Treat every member with professionalism and respect. • No insults, harassment, bullying, threats, or personal attacks. • Respect different opinions and perspectives. • Disagreements should remain constructive and focused on the subject. 3. Keep Discussions Business-Focused Posts and conversations should relate to business, entrepreneurship, finance, investment education, technology, agriculture, real estate, innovation, career development, or other relevant professional topics. Avoid unrelated conversations that do not contribute to the purpose of the hub. 4. No Spam Do not flood the hub with repetitive posts, advertisements, links, or promotional messages. Members should avoid posting the same content repeatedly or using the community primarily to promote their products or services. 5. Business Promotion Members may introduce their businesses, products, services, projects, or professional expertise where relevant. However, promotional content should provide genuine value and should not mislead, pressure, or exploit other members. 6. No False or Misleading Claims Members must not publish false information, fabricated business opportunities, misleading financial claims, fake testimonials, or unverified promises of profits or returns. Where appropriate, members should clearly distinguish between facts, opinions, projections, and personal experiences. 7. Investment & Funding Discussions CIL Business Connect may facilitate conversations around investment, funding, projects, and business opportunities. However: • Discussions on the platform should not be interpreted as guaranteed investment advice or guaranteed returns. • Members should conduct their own due diligence before committing money or entering into any transaction. • Do not pressure members into making financial decisions. • Do not present unverified opportunities as guaranteed or risk-free. 8. Protect Confidential Information Do not share another member’s private information, documents, financial information, business plans, contact details, or confidential materials without permission. Members should also exercise caution when sharing their own sensitive business information publicly. 9. Respect Intellectual Property Do not copy, distribute, or claim ownership of another person’s content, presentation, business idea, document, image, or intellectual property without permission or appropriate attribution. 10. No Fraudulent Activities Fraud, impersonation, scams, fake investment schemes, identity theft, phishing, or any other illegal activity are strictly prohibited. Any suspicious activity may be reported to the hub administrators. 11. Networking & Collaboration Members are encouraged to connect with one another professionally. When approaching another member for a partnership, service, funding opportunity, or business relationship: • Be transparent about your intentions. • Respect their decision. • Do not send unsolicited or excessive private messages. • Do not pressure anyone into a transaction. 12. Webinar & Event Etiquette During CIL Business Connect webinars and events: • Respect the host, speakers, and other participants. • Avoid unnecessary interruptions. • Keep questions relevant to the topic. • Do not use events for aggressive promotion or solicitation. • Follow the instructions of the host or event moderator. 13. Professional Identity Members are encouraged to use accurate names, professional titles, and business information when representing themselves. Do not impersonate another individual, company, organization, or professional. 14. Moderation CIL Business Connect administrators reserve the right to: • Remove content that violates these guidelines. • Restrict or suspend members who repeatedly violate the rules. • Remove fraudulent, misleading, abusive, or inappropriate content. • Take appropriate action against accounts that pose a risk to the community. Serious violations may result in immediate removal from the hub. 15. Build, Don’t Just Promote The purpose of CIL Business Connect is not simply to advertise. Come to learn. Come to connect. Come to collaborate. Come to create opportunities. Every member is encouraged to contribute knowledge, ask questions, support other businesses, and help build a stronger business community.
