Eastern Africa Opportunity Nexus

The Eastern Africa Opportunity Nexus is a regional platform designed to bring together innovators, entrepreneurs, startups, professionals, researchers, young people, investors, mentors, institutions and development partners from across Eastern Africa. It creates a collaborative space where people can share ideas, showcase innovations, develop new skills, exchange knowledge, build partnerships and transform promising ideas into viable enterprises and solutions. The Nexus will connect entrepreneurs and innovators to investors, funding opportunities, mentorship, markets, technology, training and regional networks, while encouraging cross-border collaboration and learning. Through innovation showcases, business forums, mentorship programmes, capacity-building sessions, investor pitching events, networking opportunities and knowledge exchanges, it can help identify and scale solutions addressing regional challenges in areas such as agriculture, climate change, technology and AI, education, health, trade, renewable energy, blue economy, creative industries and youth and women entrepreneurship. For an 11-country Eastern Africa focus, the Nexus could bring together enterprenours from Kenya, Uganda, Tanzania, Rwanda, Burundi, South Sudan, Ethiopia, Somalia, Djibouti, Eritrea and DRC Congo. “Connecting Ideas.
